The development of modern methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence for processing of experimental data is the main purpose of the Data Science Center, created by Kyiv Academic University. This Center is interdisciplinary and based on the Department of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics of NAS of Ukraine. Significant contribution for the Center development was made by scientists from Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics; Institute of Mathematical Machines and Systems Problems; Bogolyubov Institute of Theoretical Physics, Institute for Information Registration Problems, Institute of Software System, Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics and other institutes of the NAS of Ukraine. The Center works in collaboration with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Germany) and University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands).
The main areas of the Center's research are the development of new approaches and mathematical methods in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence and their application in the modeling of new nanomaterials, in bioinformatics, integrative biology, in the experimental data processing, high energy physics, modeling of environmental and climate phenomena, etc.
