Our next seminar for school teachers will be conducted soon by Olexandr Trylis (a teacher of physics at the "Basis" school), where he is going to discuss aero hydrodynamics (practically, hydrodynamics) in the framework of the school physics curriculum. In particular, the limits of the Bernoulli equation (does it work at all?) and why many of the common considerations based on this equation are wrong. Instead of the Bernoulli equation, alternative topics will be proposed along with many vivid physical effects to engage the students in qualitative analysis.
For those loving to calculate, some quantitative relations, which could underlie the school-level computational tasks, will be provided.

Department of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics hold traditional Winter school on Theoretical Physics from 23 to 28th of December. During the school, three lecture courses on modern quantum condensed matter physics will be given. Each course starts from the classical questions and finishes at modern problems on which people write papers ‘here and now’.
It is required to register for participation in the school: Registration
Kyiv Academic University opened a new KAU Science and Education Space. It is located on the Institute of Metal Physics premises, second floor, East wing of the main building, 36 Vernadsky Blvd.
Please, see how to reach us from the Akademmistechko metro station on the map.
September 10, 2019: A long-awaited event - the presentation of the first KAU diplomas has been combined with the dedication of first-year master students.
Congratulations to our first KAU graduates! We wish them continued success! And we wish new students that their life at KAU to be even more interesting and useful for their future scientific careers!
