Here is a list of the best Online Lecture Courses that we recommend our students for distance learning. The list starts from the courses that can be accessed without registration from YouTube, Oxford, or OCW MIT. Among them
Advanced Quantum Mechanics (Leonard Susskind, Stanford)
The Theoretical Minimum: Quantum Entanglements (Leonard Susskind, Stanford)
Atomic and Optical Physics IAtomic and Optical Physics I (Wolfgang Ketterle, MIT)
The Oxford Solid State Basics by Steven H. Simon
Circuits and Electronics (Anant Agarwal, MIT)
The current UKRATOP scholarships for master students that had to be finished at the end of March 2020 are extended to the end of June 2020.
The 3rd UKRATOP selection workshop will be postponed accordingly. Stay healthy and check for updates here.
We have also asked our students for some funny photos of their stay in Dresden, and post them here...
Kyiv Academic University and the Institute of Metal Physics are forming teams at the KAU Quantum Materials and Technology Center (https://kau.org.ua/centers/qmtech) for NATO grants application.
We seek students willing to participate in internships and scholarship programs. Currently, we are aiming to apply for the two NATO projects: "Single MW photon detector" and "Nano-SQUID."
We also have an open 5-month internship position in superconducting electronics for one student at the University of Savoy (France).
On Friday, the 24th of January, at 15:00, the joint seminar of KAU and the Institute of Metal Physics Department of Superconductivity is scheduled at the KAU Quantum Center. Volodymyr Shnyrkov, a recognized expert in superconducting qubits, will deliver his first lecture on "Single-photon microwave detector". We look forward to an open and constructive discussion on the principles of superconducting qubit construction and further development of the Quantum Center and its participation in international projects.
The seminar will take place in the KAU lecture hall (second floor of the main building). The event is open for everyone interested, but one needs to register because the amount of seats is limited.
