The first six master students who have recently finished their 6 months scholarships at the IFW Dresden have been distinguished with the UKRATOP certificates during the Applied Physics Student School 2019 in Kyiv on April 24. We wish them successful scientific career to fully utilize the obtained experience!
Meanwhile, there is still one day left to apply for the UKRATOP scholarships within the next call, the deadline for which is extended to May 18.
May 13 (Monday) at 12:20 at the Institute of Metal Physics (room 308 lab.building), within the framework of the master's program of the Department of Applied Physics and Nanomaterials, Prof. Pascal Febvre (Université Savoie Mont Blanc) will talk about new developments in Superconducting Electronics.
KAU and the Université Savoie Mont Blanc are partners in the Erasmus+ project and currently one of the students of the department is trained in France in the Pascal group. The lecture is aimed at the students of KAU and will be recorded as part of the KAU Lectures program, but we invite all those who wish to participate in the discussion.
Within the Project “Topological order of electrons in solids: New materials, Phenomena & application Concepts (UKRATOP)” which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), we invite applications for several scholarships available for young Ukrainian researchers (MSc students, PhD students, and PostDocs) to support joint research of Kyiv Academic University (KAU) and IFW Dresden/TU Dresden. The applications should be submitted before May 15, 2019. The UKRATOP selection workshop scheduled on May 28, 2019 at KAU.
On April 24-26, 2019, the Kyiv Academic University organizes the Applied Physics Student School which is aimed to demonstrate the advantages of researcher career in physics for the youngest students, the bachelors and masters. The School is organized as a satellite to the KAU Science Conference and the program (will be published soon) features lectures of well recognized Ukrainian and international experts.
The students are encouraged to present their research results during the open poster session. Тhe authors of the best selected presentations, in particular, will be awarded by excursions to the IFW Dresden, within the UKRATOP project.
April 22-23, 2019: KAU SciConf 2019 is organized by Kyiv Academic University as a part of the 4th Alumni Forum of KB MIPT / KAU.
KAU SciConf 2019 is an International Interdisciplinary Applied Science & Business Conference. It covers Applied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computing as well as Science and Business relations with the idea to demonstrate the advantages of physical research education for problem solving ability and personal success.
On February 16 and 17, 2019, Kyiv Academic University is organizing the KAU Complex Olympiad for 10th and 11th year schoolchildren, which consists of two profile Olympiads: mathematics (February 16) and physics (February 17). The KAU Complex Olympiad is organizaed with the support of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the basis of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
