The Summer School and Conference for Young Researchers on Modern Quantum Technologies will be organized as a collaborative educational project by the University of Rostock (Germany), the Kyiv Academic University (Ukraine), and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU). Participation of students and speakers from other universities and research institutions is envisage and will be encouraged.

The school is planned to be held 10-14 September 2018 in Kyiv at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics (BITP), NASU.

1stSelectThe 1st UKRATOP Selection Workshop took place at KAU on May 29-30, 2018.

We congratulate 5 master students, 1 PhD student and 2 postdocs who have been selected to join the research groups at IFW Dresden starting from October 1. 



TKyiv Academic University (KAU) and IFW Dresden/TU Dresden, within the bi-lateral collaboration funded by the UKRATOP Project, invites applications for scholarships available for young Ukrainian researchers (MSc students, PhD students, and PostDocs) to support joint research in field of topological states of matter. The UKRATOP Project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The applications should be submitted before May 14, 2018. The UKRATOP selection workshop scheduled on May 30, 2018 at KAU.

Wue Kyiv 2018

Alumni Network Ukraine-Germany is the project where Kyiv Academic University take part since spring of 2018. The network, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), was initiated by a consortium of 21 Ukrainian and German institutions from academia, politics, society and economy. 



Prof. Alfonso Gautieri & Prof. Alberto Redaelli from  Biomechanics Research Group, Politecnico di Milano will give a course on the atomistic modeling techniques including choosing interatomic potentials, visualization and analysis of data. Pre-requirements of the Course: Basic knowledge of theoretical physics and coding. Deadline for registration: 30 April 2018

Prof. Jinho Lee is a co-author of many interesting articles in Nature and Science devoted to the research of high-temperature superconductors by scanning tunneling Fourier spectroscopy. Students of KAU and everyone who are interested in the problem of high-temperature superconductivity and the most advanced tunneling spectroscopy are invited.
